To celebrate the official launch of SBL Interactive the Centre for Biological Information Technology (CBIT) is providing UQ with a free site licence and a free web based scenario hosting service.

If you are interested in taking up this offer please do the following:

   1. Register yourself on this site and provide the required UQ details and UQ e-mail address.
   2. After registering you will receive a confirmation e-mail, including a verification code needed for the first time you login.
   3. Once your details have been confirmed by CBIT you will receive an e-mail (usually within one business day) that you have been included on the UQ site licence.
   4. The SBL Interactive serial number and software will then be available to download from the download section.

In order for UQ users (Staff and Students) to access the full functionality of the SBL Interactive (SBLi) Builder software you must first register and activate the product on your computer. Please remember the activation process locks your licence to the computer on which you first activate the software.

Note: UQ lab computers are locked down by ITS, meaning only ITS can approve software installation.  If the lab computers do not have the SBLi Builder installed, please speak to your lecturer.

 

STEP 1 - Become a registered user

Fill out the website registration by clicking on Register (top right hand side of this site)

 

 

Please make sure you fill in all required fields highlighted with a red arrow.

Note: You MUST use your UQ email address and details. E.g. myname@uqconnect.edu.au (student) or myname@uq.edu.au (staff)

 

STEP 2 – Verification

Once your registration details have been entered you will be sent an email supplying you with your:

1.    username;
2.    password;
3.    verification code and
4.    link to where you can complete the verification process.

After clicking on the link, enter your username and password along with the verification code supplied.

 

STEP 3 – Download and Activate

You will also receive a second email notifying you of which Security Role you were added to (either Student or Staff). Being added to a UQ Security role allows you access to the UQ SBL Interactive licence.

Once you have been added to a Security Role, the serial number you need to register and activate the SBL Interactive software can now be found in the members download page along with the software.

NOTE: if you do not see a UQ Users section similar to below. You have not yet been added to a UQ Security Group. Please wait for the Security Role confirmation email and try again after you have received it.
